We’ve all had it at one point or another. However, did you know that over 80 million Americans suffer from chronic halitosis, also known as bad breath? As frustrating as it can be, you don’t need to just put up with it. There are many steps you can take in order to fight against halitosis and go through your day with a fresh-smelling smile. Eating high fiber fruits and veggies between meals, like apples or carrots, can help to stimulate saliva flow. This will help to wash away odor causing bacteria in the mouth.

Don’t Smoke

Along with all of the other negative effects of smoking, tobacco products contribute to bad breath. This is because they tend to dry out your mouth and make it an environment that bacteria thrive in. Talk to your doctor, friends, and family about the best ways you can quit.
