Aetna Dental Dentist -- Clintonville, OH
Aetna Helps Make Dentistry Affordable
Are you covered by a dental insurance plan? If so, that is wonderful news for your smile. Dental insurance makes it easier to pay for high-quality dental care that helps you enjoy clean, healthy teeth for life. And, if you are covered Aetna Dental (or any of the other major PPO plans we accept), you are in the right place. We are happy to be in-network with your plan here at Creative Smiles! Keep reading to learn more about how we can help you maximize your coverage through Aetna -- for the benefit of your healthy, lasting teeth.
Aetna Coverage Availability & Fees
Aetna, like most dental insurance plans, works on a fee-for-service basis. You will pay upfront each month for discounts and coverage you can take advantage of throughout the year. The details of your plan will vary based on certain decisions you or your employer make at the time of enrollment, but in general, you can expect Aetna to pay for services on a scale that is similar to the following:
- Preventive care: Covered between 80% to 100%, depending on your plan. Aetna premium plans, for example, cover the complete cost of checkups and cleanings and X-rays. By incentivizing these services, the goal is to keep your smile healthy so you can avoid the need for major restorative care altogether.
- Restorative dentistry: Covered between 50% to 80%, depending on the complexity of the treatment being performed. Prosthetic teeth (dentures, bridges) receive less coverage, for example.
- Cosmetic dentistry: Not eligible for any coverage through Aetna dental insurance, except in rare instances where treatments blend restorative and cosmetic dentistry and are necessary for oral health.
Visiting a dentist who is in-network with your Aetna insurance is important because it means you will be eligible for your savings right off the bat. You may be eligible for the same discounts when you see an out-of-network dentist, but you will have to pay the full cost out-of-pocket and wait for a reimbursement to come weeks down the line. Not so when you visit our office -- simply pay for your portion of the bill at the time of the treatment (for anything that is not completely covered) and go on about your day! We will take care of the paperwork and make sure we receive the full payment later on.
